Here’s what some of our staff have to say about working at Bonallack and Bishop
When I joined the firm at the end of 2003, Tim Bishop, the Senior Partner, said to me, “Tell me what you want and discuss it with me. I’ll listen and nine times out of ten I’ll say ‘Yes!’.” I believe that the ethos of the firm comes from the top. Since I came I have seen great improvements in our working methods and the quality of our fee earners and support staff. The firm has expanded progressively and is quick to adapt to change, both in relation to legal matters and methods, and also in relation to outside pressures and influences such as the financial crisis we are all experiencing today. In short, it is an exciting place to work, and the enthusiasm and friendliness of everyone bears this out.
We all work jolly hard, but without the vision and direction from the top, the effort would be lost. I’m glad to say that it isn’t!
Nicholas Martin, Senior Associate in the Wills Probate and Trust Team and a member of the Commercial Property Team
I like working for Bonallack & Bishop because it has a friendly environment in which staff have professional and respectful approach to clients and colleagues.
Sue Modi, Financial Controller
I joined Bonallack in February 2008 and from the start felt that it is a firm that intends to go places but wants its people to enjoy the journey along the way. My working life is challenging but also great fun especially because of the people I work with. I feel that in years to come I will look back at these times with great satisfaction.
Alan Jenner, Specialist Professional Negligence Solicitor
What makes this firm special is the people. The leadership team will listen to ideas and suggestions from all members of staff and really operate an ‘open door’ approach. Everyone here is valued. If someone wants to progress they will be given opportunities to learn and develop so that they can reach their full potential. Since I joined the firm in 2009 as a Receptionist, I have worked in various roles from Marketing Manager to Trainee Solicitor and in December of next year, with the support of this firm and its people, I am due to qualify as a solicitor. I have been able to achieve this, despite studying part time and with a young family, because of the flexibility and the support of the people at Bonallack & Bishop.
Tim’s approach is to treat clients and staff how he would want to be treated and this ethos is apparent in the day to day running of the business and in the way we all work.
